Chips Powering AI

The Chips Behind "Physical AI" Aren't Data-Center GPUs — What's Actually Inside a Robot's Brain

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang coined the term "physical AI," and it isn't a settled academic definition yet. But the chips behind it are real. This article breaks down the three semiconductor layers that make a robot move: data-center GPUs for training, the Jetson Thor inference chip in the robot's head, and GaN power semiconductors driving its joints.
